*** My 15 resolutions that I should keep… ***
I know everybody normally has at least 1 or 2 (maybe 3) New Year’s resolution(s). But not in Icha’s diary
Here are my 15 resolutions…
1. Enjoy being a mother and married girl:)
Starting off the new year as a mother and a wife. Just because I’m flying double doesn’t mean that I can not having fun like I used to when I was single tho’. I will see it as a chance to focus on doing things that make me and my family happy and enjoy the fact that I have found my happiness in my life with these 2 beautiful people that I can’t live without them. Well, who knows… 2007 might be the year for the baby number two?
I guess, flirting it is still okay as long as in small dose…kikikik!
2.Banish my bad habits !
Alrite! It was something to do with setting a bad example to Duncy and it preyed on my conscience. Be it smoking, drinking and taking ….., I know these habits aren’t doing my body any good and I am killing myself - so I will QUIT (again) ! If Mark can bin the ciggies, so can I. Go Icha!!!!
3.Get a check-up !
I know I’ve been really lazy to do any check-up and I know it is very important for my health. Now is the time to do it. I will have a regular check-ups that every women must to do! and YOU too !
4. Record my memories.
I reckon, digital cameras have been a godsend for the snap-happy. But what’s the point of taking photos if I can’t show them off? Well, I guess… it’s because I’ve got billions of photos as I am a photoholic? hehehe. This year, I will sort through the pictures that I’ve got stored on my memory card or comp. Gosh, it is going to be a hard work for me! Maybe I will have my favourites printed also …maybe.
5. Have more fun, hell yeah!
Well, instead of sitting @ home and staring @ my laptop for hours… I will get out and try new experiences. I will explore play grounds with Duncy, beaches, restaurants and pubs (this one if grandma can minding Duncy for a nite or two, lol) or browsing the malls in Sydney… yeah, why not? and I will accept invitations instead of finding reasons to stay @ home. Shhh! do not tell Jake… Anyway, the points are … I will do things that make me laugh and happy. Agree!
6. Be more patient…
I’m always rushing around and get frustated easily when things don’t happen when and how I want them to. My resolution is to kick back a bit and try to chill out more! Mmh… my hubby will thrill with this!
7. Give back to the community…
I will clean out my wardrobe and make a trip to Vinnies and make a donation to a charity. Well, if I’ve got some extra cash to spare I will sponsor a child… It doesn’t have to be Angelina Jolie to make a difference, does it? But I don’t mind to have a gorgeous face like her tho’ ;P
8. Reconnect with my friends !!!
OK, I’ve been a bit slack with my friendships. This is the the time for me to turn over a new leaf! Also, I will call my old friends that I haven’t spoken to in a while and catch up with them again… Urrgh! I’m dying to see and hang out with them like we used to! Sorry… no Javanese disease tho’!
9. Get dressed up more…. Halleluyah!
No doubt I’ll be spending the next few months in shorts/mini skirt and thongs. But then again, I am a girlie girl… or should I say woman?
I will dress-up into something a little more classy in more occasions… no argue with this! I agreed and loves it! It’s an instant way to make myself feel sexy but nice. LOL.
I will put on heels ( It is a good excuse to Jake to buying me a new shoes! ) and a summer dress ( I love summer dresses… they are so pretty and soooo me
) and……….. strut my stuff through the city, a la Miss Carrie Bradshaw
You go girl!
10. Take more holidays!
I will also address this one to my hubby… so listen up Jake!
Dear my hubby darling, life’s too short to be all work and no play. So make more of an effort to take time off, can you babe? I know we don’t have Hollywood salaries, but why we never try to have a regular mini breaks to revive our body and mind? I know, exotic destinations are nice but we can go relaxing interstate or take a road trip to the country perhaps? As long as we can enjoy time away from the daily grind and as a FAMILY. Well, it’s time for us to look up which destinations that we could explore soon. Ok baby?
11. Learn a new skill…
This year I’m determined to study a Business Management course! I MUST study hard for my own good, as I will need this in the future if I am going to have my own company.
12. Relax more (and more and more…hehehe)
Ferris Bueller had a good point when he said, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
I have no objection… I agreed, coz we spend so much time at full pace that we often forget to slow down, take a deep breath and re-focus. I will take pleasure in the small things to fix this problem. More importantly, I will spend at least a few minutes each day clearing my mind!
13. Spread the love… not diseases ;P
First, I will regularly tell my family and my frenz how much they mean to me. I love you guys….
Second, try to resolve disagreement quickly … no more ‘ngambek!’
Third, I will learn the importance of saying "I’m sorry" if I’m in the wrong.
14. Get serious about my diet and exercise…
I know…… every year I always say I’m going to lose weight and every year I slip into old habits. Instead of making more excuses, I will start now and try to banning my junk food and limit my intake in 2007. I promise!
15. Go easy on my self.
I hope, I won’t get so lazy, frustated, angry and stress so easily in the future. I’d love to be a good wife, a loving mother, a succesful woman, and a nice person to everyone.
*** I used to not believe in New Year’s resolutions because every time I make ‘em I always end up lying to myself and I break them. Now, I owe it to my self and I WILL try to stick to this year. Wish me luck… ***
"HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007 TO ALL MY FRIENDS IN FRIENDSTER…"
I LOVE YOU ALL and wishing you all the best in the future!
Love,
Icha
